Red Rock - Books Presentation

Northern Ontario author Kim Casey has been captivating audiences with the riveting details of local manslaughter, murder and infanticide investigations featured in her books, " Thunder Bay city's true Murder Investigations 1882-2017" & " Thunder Bay District's True murder investigations 1885-2016" She will be at the Red Rock Public Library, on March 28 at 7:00 p.m.

Marathon - Kids Spring Fling Dance *Rescheduled Date*

The kids spring fling dance has been rescheduled to Friday, March 29th at the Marathon Moose Hall Admissions is $4 per child Ages 0-grade 4 from 6:00:8-00pm Grade 5-grade 8 from 8:30-10:30pm **children who attend the 6-8pm dance must be accompanied by an adult or guardian of at least 14 years of age.

Manitouwadge - Soft Skills Solutions Training

The Centre de Formation Manitouwadge will be running a Soft Skills Solution Training from April 15th to April 18th, from 9 a.m. till 4 p.m. This training involves Communication, Teamwork, Personal Management, Problem Solving Professional and Skills Development, Certificates will be issued upon successful completion. TBSO 2018/2019 Season

CFNO is proud to support the TBSO 2018/2019 Season!

The Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra is the only fully professional orchestra between Toronto and Winnipeg. Celebrating over 55 seasons, the Orchestra currently includes 30 full-time musicians, performing a wide-ranging repertoire from the great classical masterworks to pops and children’s concerts. The TBSO strives to be the best regional orchestra in Canada, appealing to as wide and diverse an audience as possible through excellent performances and original programming.

The Season kicks off on Friday, October 12th and is a FREE Concert!

‘Symphony Virgins’ – Friday, October 12 at 7:30 pm at the Da Vinici

Thanks to a generous supporter, TBSO is dropping their $25 ticket price on it’s pre-season Symphony Virgins concert, making it a FREE concert on Friday night at the Da Vinci Centre. 

The concert features Music Director Paul Haas conducting the whole orchestra. The program includes an exciting cross-section of classical music—ranging from John Williams’ Star Wars Suite to music from Appalachian Spring by Aaron Copland, with a little Beethoven and Mozart mixed in—especially curated for the evening by Haas.  If you haven’t been to a Symphony concert, or haven’t been to one in a long while, this is your chance to rediscover the power of classical music like it’s the ?rst time! There’s never been a better time to relax, have a drink, and enjoy the   ?nest live music Thunder Bay has to o?er.

The concert, sponsored by tbnewswatch.com and 91.5 CKPR starts at 7:30 pm at the Da Vinci. Come early for the best seats and a chance to meet Paul Haas and the musicians. The TBSO promises it will de?nitely be an evening to remember!

We’re looking for volunteers to coordinate the 2019 Multiple Myeloma March and/or the local support group.

Being a Myeloma Support Group Facilitator gives you the opportunity to meet and exchange with others who are facing similar challenges, seek information and resources and find support.

As a Multiple Myeloma March Leader, you will be part of our signature event, a 5km walk in communities across the country to increase awareness and raise funds for clinical research, for accelerated access to new, and gamechanging therapies for Canadians.
